The relationship between a teacher and an actor is a wonderfully concentrated and intense one. It is an extremely rewarding give and take and I am so grateful to all the actors I work with. They are the most courageous people I know.

ONGOING SCENE STUDY

My SCENE STUDY CLASSES are NOT about "presenting" a scene, getting feedback from the teacher and moving on to the next scene. My classes ARE about thoroughly exploring scenes with objectives and inner actions, stopping and starting to realize what is happening moment to moment, exploring the inner monologue of your character, the moment before and connecting to the truth and reality within yourself, your character, and the scene. Exercises are used to help you step into a character's physical and emotional life, increase relaxation and concentration, and open up your instrument and imagination. ADMISSION BY AUDITION ONLY.

SPECIAL WORKSHOPS

A special 5-WEEK MONOLOGUE INTENSIVE concentrates on the process and technique of successfully choosing and preparing a monologue for auditioning. You will learn what makes a good monologue and what you can do to make that monologue work for you. You will discover how to bring yourself to the author's words, work with personalizations, opening beats and inner actions. My goal is for you to feel prepared, confident, and ready to go out there and get that job! ADMISSION BY INTERVIEW ONLY.

For more personalized work, when you need that extra push, I will help you fine tune your monologues, work on interview skills, connect to your material, and most importantly help you find the all important transition into your opening beat... how to get from "Hello, my name is.." to a deep connection to your monologue/scene, yourself and your character. My objective is for you make the most out of your auditions and get that job!
